Save and Protect North Atlantic Right Whales

Reflection
I was never aware of the issues that whales faced, especially North Atlantic right whales. It is devastating to know that the driving force for their population decline is humans. Like all marine animals, they’re crucial to the stability of the ocean ecosystem. Not only will an unhealthy ocean negatively affect the creatures living in it, but humans as well. Having been oblivious this whole time, I decided that I want to take action. My drawing portrays the North Atlantic right whale entangled in fishing gear due to the works of humans, and a reflection of the whale who supposedly looks like it’s “helping” the other whale. This conveys the afflictions that humans render that hinder the familial bonds between the whales. Personally, for the awareness to thrive, I will try to share this concerning issue with as many of my school friends and the faculty as possible. My goal is to gather and accumulate as many people as I can to conceive and implement ideas that can alleviate the endangerment of these whales.
