"See What I Sea" was initially inspired by the song “Unfinished Story” by Dexter Mills. It's a slow piano, yet carries a hopeful bridge of exploration, which created the yellow raincoat character that led us to the issues surrounding the oceans and water. The viewers are merely observing the young boy in the yellow raincoat until he trades views with the whale. The main message I would like the audience to interpret is that water is a necessity to our lives, a necessity that not everyone has access to. There are many crises surfacing in the world with climate change, pollution, lack of access to clean water, and more--it can appear out of grasp to create change. I wanted to hit hard emotionally in a cinematic way of the true realities that some people face. We take too many things for granted, and I hope that whoever sees "See What I Sea" can gain a sense of where water is needed and what little but mighty steps can be taken to ensure the water issue improves.
