Smoking Water
Minki Shin
Studio City, CA
2018, Junior, Art (2014 – 2023)
Reflection

This artwork represents all of the polluted water due to littered cigarettes. Marine animals like fishes and corals die due to water pollution. The world catches on fire and everything turns into a mess, just because of polluted water. Cigarette water pollution is the number one cause of water pollution in the world, where littered cigarettes release thousands of its chemicals into the ocean. In the artwork, you can see a hand trying to filter out the dirty water and trying to make the environment a cleaner place. This goes to show that no matter how much dirty water there is in the world and how dirty the environment is, there is always a way to clean it all out.
