Reflection
Reflection

For this project, I was inspired by 80s real estate commercials. I have learned that one can make a serious topic have humor to it, but working on it can still leave one with a sinking feeling (pun intended). The pit in the stomach motivated me to share my work, and I hope it makes a difference. My message to viewers is that climate change will have severe consequences, especially for coastal and low-lying communities. They are extremely vulnerable, and people will be displaced, injured, or worse if the global society doesn't make an effort to change fossil fuel consumption. The project raised the feeling of sadness because the effort feels overwhelming, and I am hopeful we may mitigate the damage.
