Every day, our planet Earth is being destructed by human society. We don't always realize how we are destroying the earth, but us humans are the ones responsible for destroying the Earth. One way humans hurt the earth is causing global warming. Global warming occurs when humans mine for rocks or when humans burn fossil fuels. The whole world is starting to melt which causes the water levels to rise. Global warming not only affects the Earth’s temperature, but it also affects animals, such as polar bears. The polar bears' habitats are slowly being destroyed and this causes many of them to lose their homes. Since 1992 about three trillion tons of ice has melted! Right now the United States is trying to prevent global warming, but in order to decrease global warming, the whole world has to come together to save our planet Earth.
