Reflection
The inspiration of my work comes from my hometown, where many farmers have lifted themselves out of poverty by cultivating mushrooms. When I was young, my grandmother taught me how to grow mushrooms. I am very interested in biology, therefore, after coming to school in Shenzhen, I came into contact with courses on learning mushrooms and created my own mushroom art works. My experience with mushrooms is also presented in this book. I want to educate people about the role of fungi in our ecosystem. Fungi are incredibly important, and their contribution to managing air pollution is more significant than most people realize. They can help mitigate various environmental pollution issues in ways that are both effective and sustainable. I've created this picture book with the aim of highlighting how we can start with small, tangible actions in our daily lives—like paying attention to fungi—and work together to tackle the environmental challenges we face. Let's take action and make a difference for our planet!
