The Funny Thing About Climate Change

Reflection

Most people do not take the idea of climate change as a serious situation in very much the same way people never usually take a clown very seriously. Some people believe that the information that scientist present about climate change and the things that humans have done to effect this change are “funny” and incorrect. As people we can no longer “clown” about this very serious topic but must take measures to try to correct the balance and preserve nature. We must advocate for more sustainable transportation to become the norm and not the exception. We must aim to protect the forest, stop cutting and clearing areas to build new homes and malls. Taking measures to reduce the use of fossil fuels will also help us to protect our planet. If we do not act now, the joke will be on us as humans when our planet is no longer able to sustain itself.
