After the rain, the puddles overflowing with impurities struck me as a cold warning of nature. "Do we consume and produce a sustainable environment?" This is the question that crossed my mind when I was observing the uneven asphalt ground drenched by rain. To symbolize the evil spirit inside human fallibility, I drew the snake as a shoelace weaved into the sneakers, revealing its unquenchable thirst for devastation. Studying upstream and downstream, I learned that all water is connected. Water from downstream that has been contaminated by humans evaporates and precipitates upstream. Any detrimental impacts on the water cycle causes destructive consequences. To highlight the contaminated water that goes upstream, I drew another puddle that gradually turns into space which deprives the sea creatures of their lives. As nature keeps its distance from human impacts, lush grass sprouts up to the sky, penetrating the asphalt to restore vitality to the ground. We have to educate ourselves about the severity of environmental pollution so that we can encourage others to conserve nature. We are all connected; if humans put effort into improving the current situation, water would remain clean and pure.
