Reflection
It has been made clear in the last decade that climate change is a very real and pervasive issue with undeniable effects. The consequences of ignorance and inaction are exemplified in our film, as the 2018 floods in Kerala display repercussions of climate change: repercussions that have affected coastal regions in the past and will affect coastal regions in the future. Countries all over the world, especially developed ones, remain inactive due to resistant policymakers and an unengaged public. Our core idea, despite numerous script revisions, was to present a specific event through the eyes of an individual— to personalize the struggles of people suffering from environmental disasters. The youth understand more than anyone the large-scale measures required to save our Earth, and we are determined to advocate for awareness and action.
