Reflection
In such a busy life, within our concrete jungle and a routine that repeats day to day, we forget to step outside for a moment and breathe. We lose our connection with nature and forget everything it offers us. I love using art to convey complex concepts and ideas that help to understand a message. This challenge motivated me to step out of my comfort zone and reflect on the little things I enjoy while being outdoors. It was filmed in a protected natural area of my hometown where evidence of past cultures has been found; I felt it was a very special place. To show an example of nature's resilience, I included two endemic species from my country, one of which was believed to be extinct until recently, and the other had only 13 individuals, being on the brink of extinction. It is a perfect example that Earth has the capacity to regenerate. While I was doing this, I could feel how important and at the same time how fragile our Mother Earth can be. We are much more connected to her than we imagine. Everything we need comes from her: food, medicine, water, everything essential for life. We are one, and by embracing our connection, we become allies. It is imperative to have balance and to consider the damage we can cause with our actions. It is in our hands to decide whether we are part of the problem or part of the solution. When we are in contact with nature, our worries fade away; when we immerse ourselves in its magic, we can feel a healing energy.
