Reflection
My artwork was inspired by my grandmother's garden in Korea, where I spent time observing the small creatures and insects. This experience sparked my creative process, and I aimed to capture that sense of wonder on canvas. I enjoy the freedom and curiosity that creativity brings. I chose acrylic paint, a familiar medium, much like my grandmother's garden, and incorporated fluorescent paint to enhance the feeling of amazement. Through my exploration of "Connections with Nature: Looking inside, Going outside," I discovered that nature is ever-present, even in small crevices and within our homes. I hope my artwork conveys the message that even seemingly insignificant creatures play a vital role in nature's cycle of life.
