Reflection

Personalizing the Earth’s elements made me connect with these non-living elements. It became easier to understand what climate change is all about when I put myself in their shoes. I could imagine what it is like to have everyone destroying me and yet being ignored. Climate change was catalysed by human activities in a myopic attempt to enrich the world, and yet the world is slowly but surely being impoverished by the adverse effects of climate change. Karma has a weird way of working its magic on us! Most people haven’t been hit by a Richter scale size 5 cyclone, but they should imagine what it is doing to the people suffering. Even people in landlocked countries should be concerned about the oceans because, at the end of the day, we all suffer. I want people to start being accountable for their actions. Measures to mitigate effects of climate change should be a collective effort.
