Reflection
Reflection

The once-in-75-years super typhoon Yagi swept across the entire Hainan Island. Though its direct devastation lasted only two days, it was only after the storm passed and the skies cleared that we truly grasped the extent of the suffering it left behind. Streets and homes were submerged in floodwaters, while filth and debris flowed through the city. The once-vibrant urban life and scenery seemed to vanish overnight. This tragedy has led me to reflect on the relationship between humanity and the ocean. When we endlessly exploit the sea, recklessly develop coastal lands, and destroy marine ecosystems, how will the ocean ultimately make us pay the price? What consequences will it bring upon us?
