I was inspired by the public's outlook towards climate change. In recent years, we've started talking about how littering is bad and how terrible it is that our earth is so polluted, but behind the sad mask we wear, humans are the ones perpetrating the actual "evil" behind the pollution. We may not act like it, but we are all part of the problem that caused global warming. By exploring the theme, I noticed that many of the earth's problems originated from human greed. I wanted to create a piece that showed the truth behind the issue we are currently facing in order to send my message across. We cannot ignore global warming by saying, "It's not my fault that it happened this way," but rather, we all need to take responsibility for the crisis by owning up to our wrongful actions. Now is the moment to face the truth, and work together towards creating a better environment for ourselves. Starting now, I will try to do my own part by picking up litter from around the beach and recycle in my daily life. My wish is that others can join me in taking action to prevent further damage from happening.
