Humans are devastating the marine life. Our plastics are affecting the oceans immensely, and the mere garbage that we constantly dump into the oceans is killing the sea creatures. I was inspired to draw this piece after watching a video about ocean: marine animals were dying and they were losing habitats due to our apathetic act. So I drew an ocean made up of plastic garbage – food toys, dolls, etc. – and left a vacant spot to represent animals that die unseen in the ocean; although our acts may seem trivial, they are killing the species. Also, I made the plastics gradually disappear into the darkness to represent death, and a small truck on the top to illustrate that even the smallest act can build up to destroy a whole ecosystem. We are ruining the creatures’ lives for our slight convenience and benefit; we must stop polluting the nature.
