What’s Cooking, Good Looking?
Isabella Sowma
Miramar, FL
2022, Senior, Art (2014 – 2023)
Reflection

I decided to focus on the chaotic acceleration of climate change through various means, which produce more greenhouse gases. In my artwork, the items that the various animal chefs are rushing to produce for their customers use up resources like fossil fuels, trees, and fertilizers to meet customer demands for transportation, food, goods, and energy for electronics, which contributes to climate change. The irony of my piece is that the animals chefs are directly effected by climate change; however, they ignore the consequences of climate change in favor of continuing to keep their jobs.
