When I look back at this painting, I think about the countless golf balls that litter the ocean, waiting to be cleaned up. I hope that this painting can serve as a means to raise awareness about the golf ball pollution problem and make people realize the extent of its magnitude. Otters, like the ones depicted in my painting, are munching on golf balls that they mistake for clams, which could kill them. As someone who loves nature and the environment, I feel responsible to take action, even if it means starting small. Therefore, I have decided to use my art as a means to make my voice heard and make a difference. I am inspired by individuals like Alex Weber, who discovered the golf ball pollution problem in the ocean and took action to solve it. I hope that all individuals who care about the environment will follow in her path and do their part to protect our ocean, whenever the opportunity arises.
