I ended my film with a quote from Robert Swann that reads, "The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it." I was one of those believers - who strongly held the idea that climate change was a far off concept that I would remain unaffected by. This was until the Bengaluru Water Crisis hit and I was forced to live, for a couple of months, in a situation which was some people's everyday and all they've ever known. From the Garden City of India to a drought-stricken, concrete jungle, the city stands at a crossroads where its technological progress intersects with a pressing environmental challenge. As we all say, it only hits hard, when it hits home. It inspired me to create this film, to push people to take action before they're thrown into a reality they do not want to face. A reality where they're stripped away from something so basic, that they don't feel the value of, until it is taken away - for me, that was water.
