Reflection
Reflection

I was first introduced to the major problem with plastic in our oceans through a documentary called Plastic Paradise. This problem with our world intrigued me more than others usually do because there were direct ways I could help. I started recycling everything, brought my own bags to stores, and asked for paper in any situation. I thought “good I am doing my part,” but I started to realize how few people were doing theirs. That is when I realized it was because they did not know. I had not known about the plastic piling up in our oceans until I came across the documentary by chance meaning we are all living in a world that is being suffocated by plastic and most of us do not even know it. I made the video “Our World, Our Oceans, Our Plastic” to advocate an issue I think is important everyone addresses, and the first step to addressing the problem is realizing one exists.
