It’s Not Too Late to Change

Reflection

My science class began a unit on climate change about a month ago. I was excited for the unit because I thought I knew what there was to know about climate change. In my head, climate change was the fact that the earth is warming and due to this, we will have issues in the future. I was never very worried about climate change because I didn’t believe that it would ever go into effect over the course of my lifetime. Over the course of the unit, we watched videos, performed experiments, read articles, and looked at clear evidence of the ways that climate change is affecting our world today. I was in shock. I began to feel frustrated. I would come home at night and sit on my parents' bed, feeling so annoyed at how something so horrible could be happening to our world. I desperately wanted to do something but I just didn’t know what I could do. I am a typical 14 year old girl. I attend a public high school in the greater Seattle, Washington area. How can I have an impact? A few weeks ago, my science teacher introduced the final assessment for our climate change unit. It was a very open ended project. I immediately knew that I wanted to make a video. I wanted to create something that would help to spread the importance of climate change to people around the world. So, I made this video.
