Reflection

Water is a vital bond that connects all living and nonliving things in this world. From the ice that melts on mountains to the machinery and workers that purify, water eventually makes its way to reach our hands. Recognizing these connections and seeing the journey of water helped inspire this artwork. Through creating this piece, I felt grateful to be in a place with abundant access to clean water to use. However, knowing its necessity to this planet we live on, I felt a strong sense of activism to further act on the conserving of water. My message to viewers with this artwork is that protecting our water means protecting these interconnections that bring life. I learned that a disruption in the water cycle could impact or threaten the ecosystem, because it is the main resource of many organisms. We can all help save water, whether it is by showering for less time or cleaning up polluted lakes. Although, most importantly, we should work together to create a positive difference for nature.
