Reflection
Why I created the painting I did was to capture how amazing right whales are. What inspired me to do this project was all that we have learned in class about right whales and about how there are very few of them. I have learned a lot through researching right whales. The main thing that will always stand out to me about right whales is that they used to be hunted in the past, but thanks to NOAA who made it so right whales could no longer be hunted, people are still occasionally able to spot a right whale swimming in the ocean. Sadly there are still many dangers to right whales that could make them go extinct; some of those dangers are noise pollution, plastics, nets, and large boats. The actions I will personally take on now after learning about right whales is to put all my best work into the projects we do for right whales to show people how amazing they are, and to pick up trash whenever I see it because it could get into the ocean.
