Reflection

Climate change could result in a much more dire outcome than you think. It is an active and real problem that is ongoing globally. One of the big problems climate change causes is change to habitats. Habitats are the basis and essential foundation of species survivability. However, climate change affects habitats in negative ways. One way it affects habitats is how it alters the arctic. In the arctic, ice caps are melting away because of the rising temperatures. Because of this, polar bears are struggling to survive. In oceans, rising waters, warmer temperatures, and more acidic waters are threatening the ecosystem that different species live in today. Warm waters can cause coral bleaching, which disrupt countless animals’ ecosystems. Forests are also affected by climate change; there is evidence of change in precipitation, higher temperatures, and increases in carbon dioxide. This leads to risks of drought in many areas, dying out of species, and wildfire risks. Through climate change, numerous animals’ homes are being threatened. In my drawing, I drew different habitats and their reflection which portrayed the same scenes going through the effects of climate change. Because of the effects on climate change in these areas, animals are dying. Climate change can be stopped, but it is up to you if you want to make a difference. Even small actions like reducing and reusing everyday objects can be a tiny part of a big future. What will your choice be?
