Reflection
Film is one of the most expressive forms of communication- it utilizes music, audio from a narrator, and visualization. Typically, I work with art mediums such as acrylic paint, watercolor, charcoal, Prisma markers, micron pen illustration, and photography- however, for this contest, I decided to branch out and explore a different means of communication. I researched how to take videos and put them together in order to mimic the effects of famous films so I could draw in the audience. Through and through, one theme remains prominent in all of my artwork. Nature is the driving force behind my creations, and inspires every piece in some way. From unity, to many different patterns and ideas coexisting in one work of art, to explicitly illustrating parts of nature, my art reflects my admiration for our earth and all that is provided to every living being on the planet. My desire to explore and try new things makes my art and film unique and stands out to viewers. By creating captivating films and works of art, I can entice people to think about the subjects of the environment and its importance. Communicating my interest in the natural world will hopefully inspire others to develop a more keen sense of awareness for our planet.
