Reflection

Archana Soreng, an environmental activist from indigenous Kharia tribe, is a young, but powerful figure who embraces and promotes the need for climate change, especially for indigenous tribes. Soreng had acknowledged and witnessed the immense contributions tribal people had provided for protecting and reconditioning our nature, coming from an indigenous background herself. However, they are the ones being endangered and attacked by environmental destruction and land encroachment urban individuals tend to barely care about. Therefore, in hopes of recognizing the dangers indigenous tribes are facing, Soreng had led countless demonstrations and gave assertive speeches about how different aspects of climate change had impacted indigenous tribes. Archana Soreng has proven, and is proving, the significance of climate change and what we have to do in order to change the environment for the better.
