I come from Turkey, whose history spans over 4,000 years and covers two continents. However, climate change and the rapid erupting of the environmental crisis are decimating our cultural heritage. Thus, I created a piece of artwork that articulates the death of our cultural heritage. I articulated the death of culture due to low water levels and the impact on architecture. The dramatic effect of fertile soil turning into dust and drying up shows climate change's effects and eroding the Turkish hamam culture (public baths) causing buildings to crumble. Witnessing this cultural catastrophe, I want my work to stimulate solutions.
