I decided to write a book, geared toward children, that would teach about the ocean. My book addresses two main concepts: ocean pollution and our duty to help stop its spread, and the life of barnacles, commonly overlooked creatures. We need people to learn about the ocean and grow to actually care about it, even if they are miles away. And that is what a children’s book has the capability of doing.
