Reflection

I watched a video of a turtle attempting to eat a plastic bag thinking it was a jellyfish. The video made me think we had almost created a new “population” of plastic that would thrive in the waters. I drew a happy, prospering underwater ecosystem but with a twist: the animals and plants were made of plastic trash instead of being live animals. I had even given the seal, the main subject, a pair of sunglasses from a luxurious brand. The drawing was finalized with a small amount of live coral and fish to show that we still have hope for a change. We can still reduce the amount of plastic trash that gets into the oceans. It is our only hope left.
