Beyond the Curtain

Reflection

Human beings, who have overcome natural threats such as disasters and illness, are now enjoying the “party.” But wait—what is behind the curtain surrounding the party? A light-blue cake with polar bears on top means global warming is collapsing the ice habitat of the creatures. Similarly, I used a green cake to represent deforestation. I depicted the appearance of fish being polluted by chemically harmful contaminated water as being dipped by humans in a contaminated water fountain. Some of this water is dripping and soaking the tablecloth printed on the Earth's surface. The factory's chimney emits smoke instead of candles. Water poured into the glasses from the white container is murky and polluted with plastics, a wheel, and trash. Some dead fish are sunk at the bottom of a glass as well.
