Reflection
Reflection
As I drew my piece, I had much time to reflect upon current events and what our earth is going through. First of all, I have shown how water is being polluted in many different ways. Water is not only polluted by nuclear waste, but also by bits of garbage and plastic. The world I have drawn is also covered entirely with water. This is mostly because of the ice caps melting from global warming. The iceberg resembles a polar bear to show how the ice melting can affect their natural habitats. The person in the background holding the earth represents all people of our world. We are the protectors of our Earth and we must learn to take care of our water. The clock represents the amount of time people have left before it is too late. The cracks in the background are meant to symbolize the lack of water some countries have. This drawing helped me realize that even I can help with this growing issue by saving as much water as I can and being sure to recycle. Though my actions may be small, they can greatly contribute to addressing global warming and water pollution.
