Chill Man, It’s Not That Serious

Reflection

The media uses euphemisms and are vague about climate change as to be palatable for the general public, which was why I made a magazine parody called "Vague." The illustration shows a person wearing clothing based on polar bears, a metaphor for how some people use climate change and the endangerment of animals to self-promote and make themselves look better. The trash fashion brought by a “heat-wave” depicts how some see climate change as a trend for clout. The fact is climate change is not a trend. It’s not a joke. We must remind everyone that we shouldn’t stay silent. There will always be people that want us quiet, that want it all to simply blow over, that want to stay in blissful ignorance. But ignorance is what led us to this issue in the first place. I hope people can see through my art and see how dangerous this depiction and representation of climate change can be. I hope we can become better people.
