Reflection

Many people are aware and conscious of regular plastic polluting our environment. They make an effort to use reusable water bottles, bring their own bags to grocery stores, and donate or volunteer for organizations that help reduce climate change. However, microplastic is a pressing concern that many forget about. Microplastic is everywhere. No matter how much of an effort to eat healthy or avoid single-use items, microplastic is in everything. Starting from the air, plants, animals, and water all contain microplastics. As we build the world we live in, we have contributed greatly to climate change on a daily basis. With the invention of plastic, many things have become more convenient. As someone who utilizes plastic and other modern inventions, I have become accustomed to this comfort. However, as the environment deteriorates, I believe that the daily actions that pollute Earth can be reduced. I wanted to remind people that because the actions that we do goes around and affects us back, we need to work to change-- so that our actions do not come around to bite us. Using the shape of waves on the shore, I wanted to remind the readers that Earth, our home, is beautiful, and that we must preserve it instead of just using it for our own benefits.
