2024, Junior, Poetry & Spoken Word

An emotional poem about nature and climate change, discussing storms, monsoons, and humanity's connection to the Earth amidst unpredictable weather patterns.

Reflection

The world is changing rapidly, and I can't ignore the wacky weather patterns impacting communities such as mine. Intense hailstorms replace the rains I once enjoyed. This stark reality prompted me to seriously study climate change. Research revealed a complex crisis - rising temperatures are causing spikes in heat-related illness and death, especially in already scorching places like India. Through my climate poem, I issue a call to action pleading for unity. We must rewrite the narrative of destruction and preserve our planet's future. My words aim to instill shared responsibility while offering hope that our collective actions can alter this dire course. Together, we have the power to provoke change through creative expression that awakens souls.
