Many sci-fi movies seem to focus on the main characters saving the Earth from devastation. Even if it's a film cliché, we can easily understand that many people fear for the Earth’s future. But besides making sci-fi movies, what are we actually doing? I seldom feel the direct effects of climate change in my life. I have water, food, shelter, and the ability to consume products every day without hesitance. Although people on the other side of the world suffer from extreme weather events and that the Earth is in a dangerous state, I continue to live my life just the same as before. When I hear stories of teenagers advocating to protect the environment, I feel proud, but often think that I am not capable enough to do the same. I hope people see my painting and realize that they have the ability to draw their own future, and every single one of them can change the world.
