Reflection
The world is changing. Through the people, the environment, the time, anything: the Earth today is not the same Earth as yesterday. This is an infinitely important concept that we often forget, and it's not the only concept that is often forgotten. In the midst of our lives, things that are often left forgotten are brought back to the light through many different mediums. From writing, to photography, to speech, and more, we express things that need to be acknowledged. For me, music has always been a highlight in this mission. To sing about something is to care for it from the bottom of your heart, especially when you're singing your own words. I wrote a song about the Great Barrier Reef because it's just like everything we sing about, it's forgotten. So, I used this opportunity to bring it back into the light. In the song, I address the ecosystem directly to emphasize the life and meaning it has in this world. I hope that all who listen are able to take a moment to appreciate the beauty and value in it.
