I wanted to create a piece that represents how humans have taken over all aspects of the world. Humans continue to destroy large parts of the world and cause imaginable suffering to organisms living in those ecosystems. In my piece, I wanted to show the girl as part of this specific ecosystem. I wanted people to take a step back and try to picture themselves as part of the ecosystem. If people pictured how they would feel in a situation, they're less likely to tamper the feng shui of the enviroment. When creating this piece, it made me realize how I should make more of an effort to save the environment. It's so easy to do our part; using reusable products and recycling are easy ways we can be conscientious about our environment. As a human population, we should try to picture ourselves in an environment before we make a judgment call. Creating this really gives me hope that viewers will do their part to help our world.
