Project Description: “Happy Party” is a silent comic showing the harsh after-effects of a fun birthday party. With a mix or sarcasm and irony, the comic represents how different gifts in goody bags at a party can hurt ocean life. What may seem like a harmless party can actually cause lots of pollution in the ocean and contribute to climate change.

I love taking either my sketchbook with me so I can easily draw when I go out. One day in school, we learnt about the effects of overfishing and climate change and I felt inspired to do something about it. People may not want to face the harsh after-effects of seemingly fun things like parties, but the still need to accept what's happening and try to do something, whether it's making sure to recycle, avoiding products that cause harm to marine life, or donating money to an organization dedicated to protecting the ocean.
