Reflection

As ocean levels continue to rise, the impact on our world becomes greater and greater. Even as rising water levels continue to destroy homes and lives, people still seem to stay ignorant. As a result, the problem continues to expand, maybe even one day cementing the world in a dystopian future. To portray ignorance, I depicted an old man, doing something he would probably do every day, in a not-so-ordinary world. While he floats through the ocean on his bench, he stays oblivious to the world drowning around him. With things like trash, a rubber tire, and a paddle in the foreground, it seems that he has accepted the way of life and doesn’t care anymore. I hope that people will understand how big of a threat climate change poses to the world.
