Reflection
Through the prompt about the effects of climate change on Earth's aquatic and semi-aquatic creatures, I wanted to convey the sadness and loss that happens as a result of this global crisis. I depicted several animals that are directly affected by climate change, including a polar bear, emperor penguins, and walruses. While not all of these animals are endangered right now, the effect of the changing weather and landscape has still threatened their well-being. By including these certain animals, viewers could see the victims that are affected, and hopefully make them want to spark change in the issue. The recent increase in climate change over the course of the last few decades has brought forward several issues. These problems include higher global temperatures, a rising water level, the melting of sea ice, and an increase in water temperature throughout several oceans. These issues all affect many of Earth's living organisms, many of which are already endangered. My hope is that with my submitted artwork, I can bring light to several of the issues that are caused by climate change and prompt others to help. I want this for the benefit of all Earth's inhabitants, and I want to be able to create a brighter future ahead so that we can experience the Earth and all the magnificent things it has to offer.
