Reflection

What inspired me to make a film was not only the fact that I love producing videos but there is no animal I love as much as turtles, in specific the green sea turtle. What helped me during my creative process of brainstorming to create my script for my video was talking to my mom and her father about our family's history in Hawaii. Making this film sparked emotional feelings, happiness, and pride, as well as learning more about my family history. My message to my viewers was to raise awareness for turtles by talking about the majestic beautiful animals they are and sharing facts about them that are intended to make people feel prompted to help support the cause of climate change. After doing research on climate change and its effects on the Green Sea turtle, I have realized that if we are more conscious of our pollution and just climate change in general, there is a chance my own kids will never be able to experience the unexplainable feeling of swimming with a Green sea turtle. I have learned the importance of cutting down on single-use plastic, keeping a safe distance from turtles while fishing, and many facts about Green sea turtles.
