Reflection

When I was a little kid, I used to go to mountains with my family. Every time I visited, I would always take pictures of snow piled up on top of the mountain. But when I went back few years later, the snow had almost completely disappeared and it was also obvious that there were less amount of trees. After seeing what had happened, I was genuinely shocked and sad. I discovered that global warming and climate change had caused this incident. Because of global warming and climate change, there was an increase rate of temperature which also lead up to an increase rate of precipitation. And also, the rise of sea levels and increased drought has lead to deforestation. During the process of deforestation, it can disturb wildlife, and have impacts on the air we breathe today. For these reasons, this is why I have made this piece of artwork. When being creative, I feel like I'm in my own world. I get to really use my imagination and express my feelings through art. For this piece of artwork, I used acrylic paint because I have used this kind of medium since I was very young and I wanted to feel like the younger version of myself. Again, I hope my art shows how big climate change and global warming is and how it is slowly destroying our Earth.
