Reflection
Ice sheets shrinking, glacial retreat, and sea level rising have become real threats to human beings. Meanwhile, polar bears, penguins, and sea lions are losing their habitats. My artwork aims to show how dangerous our positions are. Both human and animal lives are vulnerable due to the sea level rise brought by climate change. Not only animals are losing their homes, human beings are facing the cruel prospect of losing our hometown as well. Coastline cities might drown and our next generation would be put into even worse positions. To prevent the further acceleration of ice sheets melting, we should take immediate actions. Controlling emissions, reducing CO2 levels should be a responsibility of every person. Personally, I will travel by public transportations and use my air conditioner less. Rising sea levels would threaten ecosystems on Earth, and we should all lend a hand to ocean restoration and prevent ice sheets from shrinking.
