In my science class we were talking about climate change, and this inspired my work and creative process. For me art is a form of expression, and it helps people to understand our culture and society. After doing research on climate change and our oceans, I learned that the oceans are essential to reducing greenhouse gases, and they also play important roles in mitigating climate change. Recycling can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Beyond that, I can collectively engage with my community to fight climate change by preventing food waste. Because of the current loss of their ice habitat resulting from climate change, polar bears are listed as a threatened species in the U.S. The way to save the polar bear is to address climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The future is positive for polar bears because of efforts from Climate Heroes such as Dr. Steven Amstrup.
