She has been mourning for so very long her tears have now run cold enough to freeze and replenish ice for polar bears to rest on. Their feathers dark from oil and mud, birds have found a safe land on top of her gentle hands and are trying to return her kindness by pulling at the plastic stuck in her corals. Fish are swimming up the stream of her body, looking for a shelter. Waves are raging behind her pale form; the seas are not powerless but what they contain today is damaging to all its inhabitant.s She is the Ocean that gave us life, but in turn received destruction. Nature is designed to adapt and evolve, preserve and move on. I believe there will always be a way for life to continue on our planet even after everything we have put it through, but this new age will not include our species if we do not correct the mistakes we keep repeating. Nature is slowly recovering by itself, but with each passing day the need for it becomes more dire. However, with each passing day more information on this emergency is spread as well, frightening with proof and facts that no one will be able to deny. I truly believe that there is hope. I believe we can recover.
