Our project represents the deaths of the coral reefs. We were trying to think of ways to represent that the corals were dead while also emphasizing human interactions and came up with spray painting. Throughout our exploration of this project we learned that an estimated 25% of coral reefs have already disappeared and an estimated two-thirds of all coral reefs are at risk today. We also learned that around 88% of the reefs in Southeast Asia, which are the most species rich reefs on earth, are at risk. This really motivated us to try and create awareness on what's happening to the coral reefs.
