Reflection
Living near the Han River, I’ve become increasingly aware of the environmental changes affecting our region. The rising water levels and extreme weather events connected to climate change still pose significant threats. Imagining familiar landmarks like Namsan Tower underwater makes the impact feel very real and personal. In this artwork, I depict a submerged Seoul to symbolize the severe consequences of climate change. I imagine myself as an adventurous explorer, dressed like someone from the age of Columbus, navigating this transformed world in a wooden boat. This adventurous spirit reflects my own journey and discovery of the harsh realities of our changing climate.
