Plastic pollution in our oceans is a major problem around the world. Pollution will soon worsen and our oceans will no longer be inhabitable. Some people are unaware of this issue, and are unable to solve the problem. My video on plastic pollution in the ocean will bring some needed attention. If we are not educated about this issue then how will it ever be resolved? After searching for some information, I realized the enormity of the problem. It is killing our animals and oceans. People will be affected by the plastic in the ocean from swimming or drinking out of it. This really inspired me to make this problem more aware to people. Creating this project in a video format, was the best way to explain this information and find solutions to address this problem. The film format allowed me to share pictures and videos of how bad pollution has become and how it began. These visual references made this topic easier to explain. This contest gave me a great opportunity to explore plastic pollution in the ocean. I learned many new things such as how ocean currents work and where the plastic goes after it has reached the water. Now I realize how important this issue is and something needs to be done now. Therefore, I learned a great deal about ocean pollution including awareness and possible solutions. I hope to teach people more about this pollution problem and a desire to change the way our oceans look.
