Reflection

10-year-old Chacon engaged in a legal challenge with his local municipality in 1992 to try to stop the pollution of a small river in his community of San José. As a result, he succeeded in implementing laws aimed at establishing a relationship between the environment and human rights. I found this environmental hero particularly inspiring because Chacon was only 10 years old, and it is truly amazing to witness how a young child's vision and determination led to extraordinary changes. By depicting such a story, I aim to set a reminder that anyone, regardless of their age or background, can become an environmental hero as long as they have a burning heart and determination to make a difference.
