Reflection
Consumerism is a very real and scary thing. The world is consuming at faster rates than ever before and this consumerism has gone too far. The consumption of plastics is out of control, from plastic water bottles to car parts. This plastic makes its way into our oceans, whether we like it or not. These plastics are destroying our oceans, one bottle at a time. The plastic comes from the oblivious consumer. This kind of consumer trashes without care or awareness about their affect on the oceans will be. The plastics they trash end up destroying beautiful ecosystems and wildlife that only help our oceans and give our world the wondrous beauty it holds. We, as the consumer, are destroying our oceans with our own plastic. These kinds of people exist all over our global populations and the only way to stop them is through promoting awareness of the affect they have on our oceans. If each of us did our part and became more aware of the environmental impacts we have when we toss a plastic water bottle on the ground, our oceans will become a cleaner and healthier place.
