The Other Side of the Ocean

Reflection

"The Other Side Of The Ocean" is about our world being damaged by pollution. I chose to create this artwork so that I could tell people that we could save oceans through art. I want people to understand that pollution can damage our environment and our lives. I want everyone to help the environment so that we can live a better and healthier life. I did this art work by sketching, painting, and drawing. I sketched out and brainstormed my idea. Then I started to sketch the background and the animals. Afterwards, I worked on my face and my hair with watercolors. I learned many things while exploring and thinking about our world. One thing I learned is that 100,00 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. I also figured out that 1.2 trillion gallons of sewage, storm water, and industrial waste are dumped into US oceans. I wish that our world would be cleaner and healthier in the future. I hope that in the future, the animals and the ocean are clean and healthy. I wish that I could be the one to change the world. I wish I could do this by being able to gaze under the water and have a very quick glimpse of how the animals are feeling about pollution. I wish that I could help these creatures by convincing everyone to work as a team. Everyone can work as a team to help the creatures in the ocean survive difficult challenges. In conclusion, I hope that people could make our world a better place by working as a team.
